Notable Quotes #9Happy Tuesday Afternoon!

I don’t know about you but I am glad that Monday is over…Yesterday I think I had “a case of the Monday’s!” -Office Space-(If you didn’t get it, that’s okay…hopefully some of you did!)  Now for the quotes!!!

“Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America.
If I’m not there, I go to work.”

Robert Orben

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing, you’ll be a success.”
Albert Schweitzer

I just saw the Forbes list of the “400 Wealthiest Americans” and once again I missed the cut!  Did you know in order to make the list you have to have a net worth of $1.3 billion!  Just a typical billionaire won’t cut it this year!  Amazing!

The second quote really helped me to put things into perspective.  We often associate “wealth” with “success” and “success” with “happiness”.  To be truly successful we need to be happy.  If you aren’t happy it doesn’t matter how much success, or money you have.  The world has led us into this way of thinking.  Some of the happiest people I know don’t have a ton of money, they don’t have a fancy house or drive luxury automobiles, but what they do have is an inner peace…They are content with what they have and what they don’t.  I’ve decided that it doesn’t matter if I ever make “the list”, what matters is that I can get up in the morning and be content in what I have.  I have an amazing wife and a daughter on the way!  I am able to provide food, clothing and shelter for my family.  Success and money may come and go, but as long as I focus on the important things in life, I will always be happy!

Until Next Time,
Heath

Notable Quotes #8

Happy Tuesday Morning!

I hope that this email finds you all doing well and happy!  I have added 3 new people to our distribution list and I hope that you all enjoy these “Notable Quotes!”  This is a weekly email that I send out in hopes to add value to your day, week, month…If at anytime you want to be removed from this list just let me know and you will be removed immediately!  Now, on to the quotes!

“Our five senses are incomplete without the sixth — a sense of humor.”
Source Unknown

“If you know you’re going to look back on today and laugh,
you might as well laugh now.”

Source Unknown

How often do we hear ”Be happy!”, “Cheer up!” etc.?  We probably don’t hear it enough, nor do we act on it enough.  Last time I checked we weren’t born with lemons in our mouth!  (I’ll double check this when our little Myla is born!)  Life is tough enough, so why go through it with a sour attitude!  Our lives and world would be so much better if we were all able to look at ourselves and our situations and have a sense of humor about it…or even laugh.  There is a study that determined if you laugh for 15 minutes/day you can burn 10-40 calories!  That might not sound like a lot, but hey that’s 10-40 calories more than if you’re sour all the time!  Why not make it a personal goal to laugh every day, remember…the more you laugh the better you’ll feel!

Until Next Time,
Heath

Notable Quotes #7

Good Tuesday Afternoon!

“Before the beginning of great brilliance, there must be chaos. Before a brilliant person begins something great, they must look foolish in the crowd.”
I Ching

“Dare to risk public criticism.”
Mary Kay Ash

I have often wondered what we as individuals and humans would be able to achieve if we followed these two quotes.  How much better would this world be if we weren’t so concerned about what others thought of us?  Most, if not all have heard the following question; “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”  Read that again…I’ll wait……Notice it didn’t say that you would always be looked favorably upon, it didn’t say that people wouldn’t laugh or criticize you.  It just asked a simple question, nothing more, nothing less.  I, for one, am glad there are some revolutionaries that forged ahead despite criticism.   “The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty-a fad.” (Advice given to Henry Ford’s lawyer!)

What have you not been willing to try because of what others might think or say?

Until Next Time,
Heath

Notable Quotes #6

Happy Tuesday!

I hope that this email finds you all doing well.  Here are two interesting quotes.

“Change before you have to.”
Jack Welch

“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.”
Mike Murdock

Change is inevitable…be it good or bad…It’s going to happen.  What you do with change is up to you.  Too often people look at change as a bad thing instead of trying to see the good in it.  True, some changes can be bad, however not all changes are!  These two quotes focus on “us” and changing…not things changing around “us”.  We can often dictate the changes that happen if we keep attuned to what is going on around us, even changing before we have to!  What changes do you seek?  What changes can you make on a daily basis that would help those things occur?

Until Next Time,
Heath

Notable Quotes #5

Happy Tuesday Morning!

“Most people spend their entire lives on a fantasy island called ‘Someday I’ll.”
Denis Waitley

“Do not wait; the time will never be “just right.” Start where you stand, and
work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools
will be found as you go along.”
Napoleon Hill

“Conditions are never just right. People who delay action until all factors are
favorable are the kind who do nothing.”
William Feather

These three quotes hit me square in the face as I read them today.  (I hate it when that happens!!)  It is in our nature to make sure that we always look at all the options that are before us.  That’s not necessarily a bad idea, it’s good to make an educated decision, but too often we OVER ANALYZE!  Many times we need to just act!  If we wait, wait, wait, good things will pass us by time and time again!  What are you waiting to do?  Start a business?  Look for a new job?  Start a family?  Read a book?  In the wise words of Phil Knight (Co-founder of Nike) JUST DO IT!!!

Until Next Time,
Heath
